Terms of Service
Article 1 (Applicability)
These Terms of Service (the "Terms") set out the conditions for use of this service. All users ("Users") must use the service in accordance with these Terms.
Article 2 (User Registration)
- Registration is complete when an applicant agrees to these Terms, applies for registration by the prescribed method, and we approve the application.
- We may refuse a registration application if any of the following circumstances apply, and we are under no obligation to disclose the reason:
- The applicant provided false information during registration.
- The applicant has previously violated these Terms.
- We otherwise determine that registration is inappropriate.
Article 3 (Management of User IDs and Passwords)
- Users are responsible for managing their user ID and password appropriately.
- Users may not transfer, lend, or share their user ID or password with any third party under any circumstances.
- We accept no liability for any damage arising from use of a user ID or password by a third party, except where due to our intentional or gross negligence.
Article 4 (Prohibited Activities)
Users must not engage in any of the following activities when using the service:
- Acts that violate laws or public order and morals
- Acts related to criminal activity
- Acts that infringe copyrights, trademarks, or other intellectual property rights in this service
- Acts that destroy or interfere with the servers or networks of us, other users, or any third party
- Commercially exploiting information obtained through this service
- Acts that may interfere with the operation of our service
- Unauthorized access or attempts thereof
- Collecting or storing personal information about other users
- Using the service for fraudulent purposes
- Acts that cause disadvantage, damage, or discomfort to other users or third parties
- Impersonating other users
- Advertising, soliciting, or conducting business on this service without our permission
- Seeking romantic encounters with strangers
- Directly or indirectly providing benefits to antisocial forces in connection with our service
- Any other act we deem inappropriate
Article 5 (Suspension of Service)
- We may suspend or interrupt all or part of the service without prior notice to Users if we determine that any of the following circumstances apply:
- Maintenance or updates of the computer systems used for the service
- Force majeure events such as earthquakes, lightning, fire, power outages, or natural disasters making it difficult to provide the service
- Service interruption due to computer or communication line failures
- Any other circumstance in which we determine it is difficult to provide the service
- We accept no liability for any disadvantage or damage suffered by Users or third parties as a result of such suspension or interruption.
Article 6 (Restriction and Deletion of Registration)
- We may, without prior notice, restrict a User's use of all or part of the service, or delete their registration, if the User:
- Violates any provision of these Terms
- Is found to have provided false registration information
- Fails to meet payment obligations
- Does not respond to our communications for a certain period
- Has not used the service for a certain period since last use
- Is otherwise determined by us to be inappropriate as a user
- We accept no liability for any damage suffered by Users as a result of actions taken under this article.
Article 7 (Disclaimer of Warranties)
- We make no express or implied warranties that the service is free from defects (including defects in safety, reliability, accuracy, completeness, validity, fitness for a particular purpose, security, errors, bugs, or infringement of rights).
- We accept no liability for any damage caused to Users in connection with the service. However, this disclaimer does not apply if the contract between us and a User constitutes a consumer contract under the Consumer Contract Act.
- Even in cases covered by the preceding proviso, we accept no liability for damages arising from special circumstances (including cases where we or the User foresaw or could have foreseen such damage) caused by our negligence (excluding gross negligence).
- We accept no liability for any transactions, communications, or disputes arising between Users and other users or third parties in connection with this service.
Article 8 (Changes to the Service)
We may change the content of the service or discontinue it without notice to Users, and accept no liability for any damage suffered by Users as a result.
Article 9 (Refund Policy)
- This service provides digital content (online learning materials, question sets, mock exams, etc.).
- Due to the nature of digital content, no refunds will be issued once a service has been purchased or access has begun, for any reason.
- Users acknowledge and agree to this policy before purchasing the service.
- However, this does not apply in cases where the service is rendered completely unusable due to a system failure on our part.
Article 10 (Changes to Terms)
We may change these Terms at any time without notice when we deem it necessary. If a User begins using the service after the Terms have been changed, that User is deemed to have agreed to the revised Terms.
Article 11 (Handling of Personal Information)
Personal information obtained through use of the service will be handled appropriately in accordance with our Privacy Policy.
Article 12 (Notices and Communications)
Notices and communications between Users and us will be made by the method we designate. Unless we receive a change notification from a User in the format separately prescribed, we will regard the registered contact information as valid and deliver notices and communications to that address, which will be deemed to have reached the User at the time of sending.
Article 13 (Prohibition on Assignment of Rights)
Users may not transfer, assign, or pledge as collateral their position under the service agreement or any rights or obligations under these Terms to any third party without our prior written consent.
Article 14 (Governing Law and Jurisdiction)
- These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Japan.
- Any disputes arising in connection with this service shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the court having jurisdiction over the location of our principal office.
